Trail Description Information

These descriptions have been written over different times. I try to follow the same general format for the descriptions, but I'm sure they have changed over the years.

You will find a variety of different information for each description, including:

	The main trail description, in both HTML and Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) .pdf formats.
	There may be topo maps and elevation profiles.
	I ride with a Garmin GPS. If you have their PCX5 software, you can download trail routes or waypoints. The files are ASCII, so even if you can't read them directly, you can get coordinates out of them.

These descriptions were really written to be paper documents. If you don't already have it, I'd suggest getting Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) Reader for viewing and printing .pdf files. It's free, so you can't beat the price.

Trails By Area

The trail descriptions are divided up by geography.

Sacramento Area

The trails in this section are located in the Sacramento Valley or the edges of the foothills, including the Folsom Lake area.

Highway 50 Corridor

The trails in this section are trails in the Sierra you get to from Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe Area

The trails in this section are near Lake Tahoe.

Greater Yosemite Area

The trails in this section are in the greater Yosemite area, meaning that they are in the Sierra or foothills closer to Yosemite than they are to Lake Tahoe.

South Bay Area

Trails in this section are near the southern portion of the Bay Area.
